Dear Lord............... RANT

pretty soon its going to come to the point that when i go to a grocery store to buy my family food that i will be shot and my items that i buy with MY hard earned money will go to the crack head behind me with 9 kids that doesnt want to work. when will people start HELPING THEMSELVES instead of waiting on hand outs. i hate to see where my country will be in 10 years. rant off

I know a lot of you are probably with the "trendy" crowd and dont believe in God, but its time to start praying for our future.

I'd like to see some stats, the ratio of wage-earning households to non-wage earning in SWVA or Wise County, etc.

ELP, I saw a study the other day that said the ratio for the entire Appalachian region had been 33%/66% since the origional studies were done in the 60s. The study was done by someone talking about bringing more jobs to the coal regions and if there had ever been any success, since the first president took a trip thru South East Kentucky.

Nothing in the world like escorting a remorseless murderer to the surgeon's table or the doctor's office for medical care that you yourself cannot afford,but have to watch him get help,and YOU and the rest of the non-piece of lazy trash in this world who bust their humps for a living have to pay for.

I doubt if you'll find too many crack-heads around here. They have been over-run by the pill-heads and meth fiends.

If about 5 or 6 local doctors were rounded up and given about 20 years each it would slow down just a little.

I actually know of more than one case of a pill-head being truly astounded when told by someone else that they don't do any pills. Yes, it's that bad, the pill heads are in the majority or at least it's bad enough that they really do believe that they are.

Busting just one of the doctors responsible for passing out pills would do more to slow the problem than busting 150 street users.

ahh crack heads/pill heads/dope heads/ all the same to me. i just dont understand why people dont want to work "well actually i do everything gets handed to them when they dont" but still this crap is getting ridiculous. I really dont want to pay for peoples healthcare that "cant get it" get a ****ed job is all i can say. now of course this excludes disabled people. I personally know of people that are "too overweight to work" and "too alcoholic to work" it kills me.

The people you are talking about were already receiving free health-care. Most people who go bankrupt due to medical bills have a job, thus the bankruptcy. Most people who went bankrupt due to medical bills had some medical insurance (which ran and hid when they were suppose to do what they had been paid to do).

The two subjects have no real correlation.

i lost you somewhere, i wasnt talking about anyone in particular and was using the grocery thing as an example, go back and read it. i said one day they are going to shoot people who pay for groceries so they can give them to people that dont want to pay for groceries.

Well, I was following you okay. You were complaining about all the druggies on government handouts at the grocery store getting free food while you had to spend hard EARNED money. You later said that you didn't want to also pay for these peoples healthcare, and that they should go get a job to pay for both their food and their own healthcare.

I pointed out that around here most of those druggies are using drugs supplied to them directly or indirectly by local doctors who are paid by already existing government programs and that the working poor were the ones being shafted not only at the grocery store but also at the doctors office. In other words you were paying for their pills even before last night, but the lady who was waiting on you at the grocery store was doing without insurance because her job doesn't supply it and she makes far too little to buy it.
